Prepare’em Before You Dunk’em

0 Comments 05 March 2010

So, you’ve got some pesky people in your church that want to be baptized and you’re not sure how to prepare them for this important step.  Well, you’re in luck.  Pastor Bob Franquiz has done all the heavy lifting for you by writing an outstanding book called Watermark:  An Explanation of Baptism.

This book is a like an amazing message series about baptism in a compact form.  It’s only 29 pages but I guarantee you that it will answer 99% of the questions your folks have about baptism.  It will also educate them and challenge them too.  There’s a Q&A section in the back that’s particularly helpful!

At my church, we’ve been giving out our own baptism packs (you can download a free PDF copy here if you’re interested) but I’ve recently decided that we’re going to make the switch and start handing these out to anyone interested in getting dunked.

I highly recommend this book.  It’s great as a hand out and would make an good addition to any resource table too.  (It would also be helpful if you were preparing to teach a series on baptism.)  Check it out at Amazon here.
