For Patients Needing Prayer

0 Comments 26 August 2010

Presspray is a new site designed to help patients with serious illnesses.  The idea is for them to have a place where they can update their followers with regular updates, pictures, and blog posts. It’s a way for those that need prayer to interact with those that are praying for them.

Honestly, if the patient already has a blog or is well-connected with social media I’m not sure this site has much more to offer.  If, on the other hand, the patient is someone that wasn’t connected before the illness this site offers an outstanding way to get them up and running quickly.

Of course, one unique feature of PressPray is the support from the entire community that’s on the site.  People that are coming there to pray for others could also start praying for you.  Another unique feature on PressPray is groups.  Different support groups like the American Cancer Society are represented there.  Again, this kind of support of built in support is a great idea and a little something extra that you wouldn’t experience from just having a personal blog.

Pastors, you might want to pass this site along to those in your church that are facing serious illnesses.

I've been a senior pastor for over twenty years and a techie for longer than that. My first computer was a TRS-80. How's that for tech cred? You can follow me on twitter at @tonymccollum.
