Leadership

The Pastor of Pixar

4 Comments 22 July 2011

I found this 25 minute documentary to be wildly interesting.  First, it’s a behind the scenes look at how a Pixar movie is made.  Second, we get to see where John Lasseter lives.

BTW, I think I want his job…and his life.  I also want an office with a secret entrance and trains in the floor!  But I digress.

Above all, I liked seeing how Lasseter leads and interacts with his people.  He sure looks, acts and seems very pastoral if you ask me.  What do you think about his leadership sytle?

Enjoy.

“If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” I like that.

The light gray lettering on the dark gray background is making it impossible for me to read what you have written. I am sure others can read it, but I cannot.

First of all, this guy is simply brilliant. I would give up almost anything to have one afternoon with him to pick his brain. The thing that really struck me was his relationship with his sons. A guy like that I would typically assume has no time for his family because of the world he lives in. But his relationship with them really stuck out to me.

I’m eating this up. Love anything Disney or Pixar leadership related.
