It’s January and I’m still wearing short sleeves here in Atlanta but I assume winter weather has arrived elsewhere.  If it’s in your neck of the woods then this free app from the Belgian advertising agency, Boondoggle, is just for you.

This slice of genius works just like your standard iPhone alarm app except that while you sleep it monitors weather reports and, if frost or snow lands in your area, it wakes you up earlier so that you can deal with it and still be on time.

The app allows you to set how much additional time you’ll need for either frost or snow.

I can’t get over how brilliant this is.  It’s amazing that nobody had thought of this before.   It seems the Belgians have been busy working on something other than waffles.
