How Do They Really Use Your Site?

By on April 14, 2010

There are a lot of services out there that give you analytical data about who is coming to your website and what pages they’re clicking on while they’re there.  It’s harder to tell, however, how your visitors actually interact with site itself.  MouseFlow.com aims to help give you a better picture of that.

After you install a bit of javascript on your pages, MouseFlow will monitor how your visitors utilize your site.  They’ll track “all mouse movements, clicks, scroll events, key strokes and form interaction.” Later, you can watch the sessions play like a video to see how regular users interact with your site.

Mouseflow also generates heat maps. These maps combine the data from all your visitors and show you what areas are being clicked and viewed and which areas aren’t.

If you’re ready to peak behind the curtain and see what’s really going on when folks visit your site, check out MouseFlow.com.
