TeuxDeux: Simple, Designy, Great
I’m on an almost constant quest for the perfect task manager. In fact, I plan to do an upcoming series on task and project managers but that’s a story for another day. Today, I want to introduce you to TeuxDeux. It’s simple. Really simple. It’s web-based and it has a great look to it.
If you’re a power user, this is NOT the task manager for you. There are no recurring tasks, reminders, projects or sub-tasks. Then again, I don’t think the designers had that sort of thing in mind when they were working on this beauty. This is a minimalistic, stylized approach and it might just fit the bill for some of you.
The site says that its “designy” and I love that word. That’s a pretty good description of TeuxDeux too.
Here’s a quote from their site…
TeuxDeux is a simple, designy, browser-based to-do app… The idea was to build a bare-bones, but visually compelling and highly usable to-do app based on swissmiss’ personal ideal work-flow.
Even if you don’t like the site or aren’t interested in a simple task manager like this, do yourself a favor and check out this demo video. It will make you smile. All demo videos should have this vibe to them.
You can check everything out at http://TeuxDuex.com.

After reading this post a few months ago I became intrigued with the idea of a SIMPLE to-do list/organizer/task manager. I liked it, but there was one thing that kept me from signing up and using it…if I was going to type it into the computer, I might was well write it in a daytimer or on a piece of paper because I couldn’t take it with me! They have finally solved the problem with an iPhone app that syncs the website to my phone. Now, I think I will sign up and use it.
Thanks Tony for yet ANOTHER helpful tool. I love pastorgear.com!

I like the look of TeuxDeux – but I agree – I’d rather have a prlntabie list (as long as I recycle the page after the list is completed LOL) or at least have it downloadble to my Palm or iPod.The show was very interesting, by the way!
