[NEWS] Apple Will Stream Tomorrow’s Event

By on August 31, 2010

Apple has just announced that tomorrow they’ll be  streaming one of their keynote events live.  Here’s the quote.

Apple® will broadcast its September 1 event online using Apple’s industry-leading HTTP Live Streaming, which is based on open standards. Viewing requires either a Mac® running Safari® on Mac OS® X version 10.6 Snow Leopard®, an iPhone® or iPod touch® running iOS 3.0 or higher, or an iPad™. The live broadcast will begin at 10:00 a.m. PDT on September 1, 2010 at www.apple.com.

This is first event that they’ve streamed in some time.  It’s interesting that, according to the press release, you’ll need an Apple product to watch it.

There are tons of rumors flying around this event.  Will we see a major upgrade to Apple TV including an app store?  Will we seeing streaming song libraries?  Will we see 60 second song previews instead of 30 second ones?  I guess we’ll find out tomorrow.
