Fast New Twitter App
TweetFire is an incredibly quick new twitter app for the iPhone that is making a lot waves. It was released just a few days ago but it’s already creating a lot of buzz because of it’s speed and innovative UI.
The app was designed from the ground up with speed in mind and it does seem to be very fast. Not only is the app itself speedy but the way you access certain features is faster too which means the overall experience is well, um, faster.
Speed is always a huge bonus with any app but the thing that really sets this app apart from all the other twitter apps out there is the user interface. It’s basically a home screen with icons. It’s similar to the facebook app for the iphone in that regard. That might not sound like much but this design dramatically changes the user experience and makes twitter feel more usable.
This is the first twitter app we’ve seen with this sort of UI and it’s a breath of fresh air in this crowded app segment.
The ability to add custom shortcuts to your home screen is what really makes this app shine. You can rearrange the shortcuts too which means you can set everything up just the way you use it. Again, this produces great speed and usability. You can add shortcuts to individual users as well as lists (both your own and those from other users).
TweetFire allows you to add multiple twitter accounts. It also supports push notifications.
This great app is free and can be downloaded via iTunes here.

Downloading now. Very excited to give it a try.
Thanks for the recommendation. Off to iTunes.
I checked it out. Use HootSuite for most of my stuff and like that. This is nice for quick Twitter only. The one shortcoming is that it lacks @ and # in the compose tweet screen which cancels out much of the built in speed.
It’s okay. I still like Tweetdeck better. It pulls more social media into one spot. If you only use Twitter, this is a fantastic app for that.
