Great New Storytelling App
There’s nothing more compelling that a good story. When you think about it, a lot of social media is just us telling our stories to each other. Unfortunately, a great deal of that story telling is sort of random bits instead of something that’s cohesive.
The good news is that there’s a great new app out that can only be described as a storytelling app. It’s sort of a hybrid of Instagram and Twitter but the big difference is that it allows you to create a stream of images and text to create one comprehensive story.
The app is called Backspaces and although they only launched last August the app is building a quite a following. They’ve grown to over 50,000 users with over 90,000 stories.
The greatest feature about this app is that it allows you to create a full story and then share it via Facebook or Twitter to others. This allows you to share a great series of images from an event or a happening in your life without flooding your followers with an endless string of updates or photos on other services.
Of course, the app had it’s own full blown community but being able to share your stories outside of that community is very compelling.
The app itself is fluid, flexible, and completely intuitive.
I’m still checking this app out but this is surely one new service to watch. My advice is to go get your preferred user name now before it explodes.
You can download the app via iTunes here. If you’re so inclined, you can follow me there. My user name is TonyM.
Have fun creating and telling stories.
