New 64-Bit Version of Chrome Released

By on August 27, 2014

Google has quietly release a new 64-bit version of it’s popular Chrome browser.

The move to a 64-bit version means greater speed (with better use of the majority of modern processors) as well as improved stablity.

Google also claims that things like YouTube videos play better in the new browser.

Unfortunately, they’ve only release a Windows version for now. (A Mac version is in the works.)

Google isn’t pushing this update out so you’ll have to manually download the new version.  You can download it here.

I’ve been using it and I’ve had no issues whatsoever. It also seems to be faster in a lot of respects.
