Sears Goes After the Lucrative Undead Market

By on October 25, 2010

You don’t often see a large American corporation like Sears taking bold new marketing steps but their latest efforts to reach the virtually untapped zombie market are astonishing. Check out this ad from the site.

Okay, seriously, this marketing campaign from Sears is really genius.  I can’t believe that Sears, of all companies, has pulled this off.

If you go to their site here, you’ll see an entire store section in “zombian”.  (If you can’t read zombian then you can use the “switch to English” link at the top of the page.)

The depth and functionality of this site is amazing.  The ads look real and sell real products.  The “tone while you lumber” add for toning athletic shoes is a slice of true creativity.

They even offer help from the “blue zombie crew” which are, of course, the undead employees of Sears.  They are “your trusty undead experts.”

Here’s a video from the site.

My hat is off to Sears for adding this fun bit to their site.
